Margaret Haupt currently teaches conservation, collections care and museum management, at the graduate level, at U of T and Fleming College. She was previously the Deputy Director of Conservation and Collections Management at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto where she was responsible for the delivery of registration, collection management and conservation services associated with, for example, acquisitions, loans, exhibitions, art storage, art shipments, and documentation of collections. She headed a team of 30 full- and part-time staff providing a high standard of professional collections care, integrated across the organization. She has cared for museum collections, in one way or another, for over 40 years.
