Amber Kehoe

Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation
NEH Fellow in Photographs and Preventive Conservation
Amber Kehoe is a second-year graduate fellow in the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUDPAC) with a specialization in photographs and preventive conservation and a special interest in musician archives and popular music culture. Last summer she completed a preventive photograph conservation internship at the Museum of Modern Art and grant funded research at seven music and musician archives in the United States to learn about the use, contents, and preservation of music collections. She recently spoke at the groundbreaking Prince from Minneapolis symposium on the preservation of at-risk materials in musician archives.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Amber is committed to the preservation of art and cultural heritage in her home state. She received a Bachelor of Arts in art history with minors in art, chemistry, and environmental engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2012. Prior to starting WUDPAC, Amber was a conservation technician at the Midwest Art Conservation Center in Minneapolis and completed internships at the Minnesota Historical Society, Science Museum of Minnesota, Tweed Museum of Art, National Museum of the American Indian, and two, private conservation practices. Her goal is to return to Minneapolis and provide conservation services to individuals, communities, and institutions in the region.
