Stephanie Barnes is a graduate of the Queen's University Master in Art Conservation program where she specialized in the conservation of paintings. She also holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Mount Allison University and an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Laval University. Stephanie recently completed a Painting Conservation Fellowship at the Smithsonian’s Museum Conservation Institute (MCI), working on the conservation and analysis of paintings from the collections of the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), in preparation for the its grand opening in fall 2016. She has also completed internships/contracts at the Canadian Conservation Institute, the National Gallery of Canada, and Library and Archives of Canada.
