Claire Cuyaubère is an objects conservator who trained at the French National Institute for Cultural Heritage in Paris, with a focus on inorganic materials and an interest for East-Asian ceramics. She has been a fellow at the Department of Conservation and Scientific Research of the Freer and Sackler Galleries since November 2012, working on the conservation treatment of Islamic ceramics, Ancient Near East archaeological artifacts and East-Asian objects. Previously she interned at the regional archaeological center PAIR in Sélestat, France, the municipal archaeological center CREAM in Vienne, France, and at the Sèvres National Museum of Ceramics near Paris.
