Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia - Universidade de Sao Paulo (MAE/USP)
Conservator
Sao Paulo, Brazil
I am a Conservator at the Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia (MAE) from University of São Paulo (USP) since 2008.

At MAE I am responsible for conduct condition surveys of collections and individual items, technical analyses, conservation treatments and prepare collection items for exhibition, loan, move, and research. My current research interests include the ethnographic materials conservation as baskets, feathers, and barkcloths. I am interested in topics related to interdisciplinary collaboration, indigenous participations and how the conservators can help to reframe ethnographical traditional museums through collaborative work with originators or descendants of originators of indigenous collections in Brazil.

I have a bachelor's and master's degree in history from the University of São Paulo and a specialization in conservation of archaeological materials from Yachaywasi Institute of Conservation in Lima, Peru.
