G.C. Laser Systems Inc. would like to invite participants of the 2017 American Institute for Conservation Conference to attend an "Introduction to Laser Cleaning” presentation and live laser cleaning demo at our facility located just West of downtown Chicago.  This introductory course, which is organized in collaboration with our partner the Conservation of Sculpture & Objects Studio Inc. (CSOS), will feature presentations, actual treatment case studies, as well as live demonstrations of laser cleaning of various materials.  Light snacks, beverages, and refreshments will be provided. You are encouraged to bring samples for cleaning tests.  Participants will have access to our Hirox 3D microscope to evaluate test results.  This introductory program is completely free and will last from 9AM to 12PM on Friday, June 2nd.

Those who wish to receive full laser training and certification to use our unique laser equipment are invited to register to stay longer and participate in the paid full 3 day training program for conservators which takes place over the weekend from June 2-4, 2017 (9AM - 5PM). Please click "Add to Registration" and register online to receive more information about the workshop and full training program opportunities.

The workshop is located outside of Chicago, in Forest Park. Onsite parking is available and the Forest Park Metro Station (Blue Line) is conveniently a short 5 minute walk away.   Given the high demand for Downtown Chicago hotels during this time, we are happy to assist with hotel options nearby, as well as roundtrip shuttle service to the training program.
