Holly Salmon is the John L. and Susan K. Gardner Director of Conservation at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum where she has worked for 15 years. She received her M.S. in Art Conservation from the Winterthur University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation in 2001. Her internships and fellowships included work at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Harvard's Peabody Museum, Historic New England, the Straus Center for Conservation and Technical Studies at Harvard Art Museums and the National Conservation Centre in Liverpool, England where she studied laser cleaning.
