Post-graduate Conservation Fellow
Greater Philadelphia Area
Madeline Hagerman is a recent graduate of the MA/MSc in the Principles of Conservation/Conservation for Archaeology and Museums at University College London (UCL). While at UCL she wrote two masters theses: the first about the influence of NAGPRA on conservation decisions in the United States and Europe and the second assessing conservators' perceptions and use of consolidants on ceramics. She received a BA in History and Anthropology with Certificates in Material Culture Studies and European Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For the last year of her MSc course, she interned at the British Museum in the Ceramics, Glass, and Metals Conservation Department. She is currently in the first year of a two-year fellowship at Winterthur Museum, Garden, & Library. My fellowship project centers on Winterthur's extensive collection of English and Dutch Delft tiles, the majority of which are installed in fireplaces around the house.
