Silvia Manrique is the Conservator and Collections Manager at The Wolfsonian-FIU museum in Miami Beach, FL. She specializes on objects and preventive conservation, collection management, and large collection moving projects. She received a bachelor’s in Conservation from the Mexican National Conservation University and a Master’s degree in wooden Polychrome Scultpture and painted surfaces conservation from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain). She was an intern at the Royal Institute of Cultural Heritage (IRPA) in Brussels, Belgium, and at the Valencian Institute of Conservation in Valencia, Spain. Her previous work includes positions as objects conservator and collections manager at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, as well as instructor and conservator in museums in Mexico, and Guatemala.
