Markus Gross

Markus Gross was trained at the Conservation-Restauration BFH (Berner Fachhochschule) in Berne, Switzerland (Diploma FH 1993) as a paintings, objects and wallpainting conservator and worked in several museums in Switzerland and as a free-lance conservator until 2001. During this time, he also held the position of studio assistant at the Conservation-Restauration BFH studio for three years. Markus has been the Head of Conservation at the Fondation Beyeler since 2001, where he established the conservation department and was responsible for large conservation projects such as: Fondation Beyeler - Nationale Suisse Conservation Project Henri Matisse, "Acanthus". In 2014 he was selected for a three month conservation partnership at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
