Rebecca Beyth Stern is the Preventive Conservator at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC, where she works across all specialties improving housing standards, environmental monitoring, pest management, emergency management planning and treating textile objects. Stern previously worked at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and The Metropolitan Museum of Art and has interned at numerous institutions. Stern holds a master’s degree in museum studies (concentration in textile conservation) from The Fashion Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in art conservation from The University of Delaware. In addition, Stern founded RB Textile Conservation in 2015 to provide textile conservation services to the public. She is a Professional Associate of AIC.
