Sonya Barron is a conservator for special collections at Iowa State University Library in Ames. She specializes in books and paper and has previously worked at the Huntington Library in San Marino, CA and at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC. She started her journey in the conservation profession at the Arizona State Museum, University of Arizona in the field of archaeological and ethnographic materials. Sonya is a graduate of the University of Texas graduate program in library and archives conservation. She is a Professional Associate of AIC.
