Shan Kuang completed her graduate training in the conservation of easel paintings at the Hamilton Kerr Institute, University of Cambridge in 2015. She received her BSc in Chemistry from Yale University in 2011. She is currently the Samuel H. Kress Fellow at the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts at NYU, where she treats Old Master paintings from the Kress Collection and assists with teaching and supervision of conservation students. From 2015 to 2016, Shan was a postgraduate intern at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Other previous conservation experiences include work placements at the Royal Collection Trust, Simon Bobak Conservation, and Yale University Art Gallery.
