Theresa J. Smith is Assistant Professor of Paper Conservation in the Garman Art Conservation Department at SUNY Buffalo State. She has previously worked at Harvard Library’s Weissman Preservation Center, the Straus Center for Conservation at the Harvard Art Museum, the Kupferstichkabinett in Berlin, Germany, the Andy Warhol Museum, and the Carnegie Museum of Art. Her research interests include 16th century moveable anatomies, historical bleaching, emergency preparedness and planning, and the history of conservation. She received her M.A. in 2006 from SUNY Buffalo State.
