Angela Chang is the Assistant Director of the Straus Center for Conservation and Technical Studies, Conservator of Objects and Sculpture, and Head of the Objects Lab at the Harvard Art Museums in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She earned her M.S. from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation. Her recent research and publication topics include the materials and techniques of 4-5th c. stucco sculpture from Afghanistan, a medieval Japanese sculpture, ancient Chinese jade, and ancient silver working. Notable large-scale projects she has worked on include the renovation of the Harvard Art Museums and the conservation of John Singer Sargent’s murals at the Boston Public Library.
