Jeffrey Hirsch, AIA, LEED AP With over 25 years of experience as an architect, Jeff Hirsch serves as the Director of EwingCole’s Cultural practice. He oversees the design and development of all work and leads the planning of projects that involve large numbers of stakeholders and historic buildings. Jeff’s expertise includes issues related to the museum environment, learning and the preservation of cultural heritage. He brings a keen interest in fostering a cooperative and creative project team and an understanding of sustainability that crosses the boundaries of architecture and building system design. Notable projects for the Smithsonian Institution include the National Museum of Natural History, Museum Support Center, the National Museum of American History and the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. He has also guided the practice at the Franklin Institute, Liberty Science Center, Brooklyn Museum, and the Philadelphia History Museum at the Atwater Kent. His projects have won several awards including two national design commendations from the American Institute of Architects. Jeff is a regular presenter at MAAM’s Building Museum Conferences, ASTC, AIC, SPNHC and at AAM conferences. He received his Bachelors degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.
