Catherine I. Maynor specialized in paper conservation at the Cooperstown Graduate Program, receiving her Master of Arts degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in 1983. She worked in the Department of Prints and Drawings at the Art Institute of Chicago until 1986. Ms. Maynor served as Project Director for the AIC Book and Paper Specialty Group’s Paper Conservation Catalog (1989 -1994) and as a member of the BPG Publications Committee. Since 1986, Ms. Maynor has been Paper Conservator at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC, where she cares for a highly diverse collection of graphic arts and contributes to the varied outreach program of the Lunder Conservation Center.
