Remy Dreyfuss-Deseigne received an art history degree from l’Ecole du Louvre in 2009 (Paris, France). In 2010, he entered the French National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INP, Paris, France) in book and paper conservation. He did internships at the National Library of France and at the Harry Ransom Center (Austin, TX). In 2015, he completed his INP Master’s degree in book and paper conservation with highest honors, including his thesis for the French Museum of Cinema (la Cinémathèque française) entitled: ‘Introduction of nanocellulose films in conservation’. He obtained the 2015-2016 National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in paper conservation offered by the Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts (CCAHA, Philadelphia, PA). His main focus is the study of graphic artworks and documents made of translucent and transparent materials. He is now pursuing his research on nanocellulose films at the Research Center for Conservation (CRC, Paris, France).
