Charlotte Eng has a PhD in materials science and engineering from Stony Brook University, NY. She is a Conservation Scientist at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), where she has worked for the past eight years. She uses mainly noninvasive methods to examine diverse works of art from LACMA's collection. Projects she is involved with include materials identification of modern and contemporary jewelry, use of spectroradiometry for the evaluation of light sources to be used to illuminate artworks, and preservation issues of three-dimensional printed objects.
