Kelly is a conservator with over 10 years of experience as an archaeologist and conservator working primarily overseas. She is currently based in our Ottawa, ON office where she manages our Canada based projects. She brings a unique perspective to CSI based on her previous work experience, which largely involved excavation, collections management, conservation and training on a range of materials and projects in England, Egypt, France, Greece and Turkey.

Kelly holds an MSc in Conservation for Archaeology and Museums (2009) and an MA in Principles of Conservation (2006) from the Institute of Archaeology at the University College London. She also holds BAs in Anthropology and Archaeology (2004) from the University of North Carolina Greensboro.

Upon completion of her graduate training, Kelly supplemented her continued field work with additional experience at the British Museum, where she focused on inorganic materials including: stone, wall paintings, mosaics and ceramics. While in England she completed certification for the use of lasers in conservation from National Museums Liverpool. She has also been involved in advocacy programs geared towards practical training for the preservation of cultural heritage in developing countries.

Kelly is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), member of the Canadian Association of Professional Conservators (CAPC/ACRP), and member of the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) and Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP/ACEP).
